Crossing The Barrier : IIT-JEE

IITJEE ( Indian Institute Of Technology, Joint Entrance Exam) : A barrier that almost every student wants to cross in India. Are you one of them? Are you really prepared enough? If you want to check, then try solving few miscellaneous problems at http://competitivexams.blogspot.com.
It is one of the toughest entrance exam in the country. With only a few limited seats, the competition is immense. And quite a number of students who are appearing for it are not really prepared for facing it. Many thin that just by studying for 15 to 16 hours a day will do the trick for them. But I have seen enough of these people, who try it and fail to end it up.
To start up with, the syllabus that is required to be covered is CBSE syllabus. The complete paper is based on CBSE only. Many might not agree with me considering its toughness level. But yes, it is. Who has studied, well not just studied, who has understood the concepts from word word and theorem to theorem, can cross this barrier with ease. Most of the questions are not at all difficult as they seem to be. It depends on your understanding level. If you cover the basic concepts properly, you should be able solve atleast 70% of the paper with ease.
While many might say that " Well I have studied 'Series And Sequences' from maths to a very good level, but I am not able solve more then 40% of the total questions I tried, prescribed for IIT level". Then the answer is that, you fail to recognize the question. Most of the students fail here. This condition can be eliminated. All you have to do for this is : constant practice of different types of questions.
To kick off the preparations, take any chapter or unit you want to cover, and start reading it, while understanding it simultaneously. It all comes back to your ability of concentrating. Concentrate well, and you should be good enough to complete a topic in matter of few hours. Once you have understood the chapter entirely, then start up the problems, by taking the easiest and moderate level of bunch at first. Solve few and go directly to the difficult level. And practice this level with as many questions as possible. But if you are failing to understand few parts in the chapter, then don't go for the questions. Come back and start off the chapter again. For me, its dead easy to say it. But for you, I know its really difficult to do. But you have to. In simple words, DO NOT start with problems unless and until you are completely thorough with the concepts and theorems in the chapter.
Just knowing " What it is?" isn't anywhere near to enough. You should know " Why it is?". And point you answer that that question, man, you are just ready to kick off your carrier, with some serious boost.
Well to end it up, I would say, those who understood my basic message in this article, just think it over and start off your preparations accordingly. And for practicing problems, or buying any study material, you can contact me at my blog http://competitivexams.blogspot.com. I can prepare you notes of any chapter from any subject, and along with that I will provide you practice questions as well.
And one more thing, don't nglect other competitive exams like CET and AIEEE, while preparing for JEE. Because you never know, where your luck will take you to.
